About Anna Jinja: Entering her sixth decade on this planet, Anna Jinja believes we actively choose people, values, and dreams that define who we are in this world. She has dedicated her life to a number of nonprofit organizations and causes as a volunteer or employee. Host of the adoption-focused podcast, the Anna Jinja Show, Anna is launching a radio show that focuses on the stories, issues, and questions connected to adoption and foster care experiences in partnership with Pacifica Network and WOUB. By sharing her own family saga, she hopes that we will believe, accept, and value the inherent worthiness of all people.

About Adopting Grace: Anna Jinja’s first novel, family saga Adopting Grace, follows the journey of Grace, a 39-year-old Korean-American woman grappling with her husband’s affair with his high school sweetheart in the midst of juggling the demands of raising two daughters, running a small business, designing a bridal gown for a challenging client, and managing complex relationships within her family. This intricate and poignant story strikes a perfect balance between taking a deep look at Grace’s internal angst and providing a humorously mad cap tale that will keep readers hooked. In the end, the book is a thought-provoking, memorable, and humorously touching look at what it truly means to be part of a family.

Kirkus Review excerpt: “The novel approaches hard topics with care and sensitivity, and the Midwest feels realistic; these aren’t the usual characters looking to flee to a big city, but who are learning to live as who they are, where they are. A delightful, thoughtful, and meaningful story of domestic life.”
